In September my Macbook Pro fried three 60w chargers. Battery had 950 cycles. I took out the battery and the laptop worked, slowly, while connected to another charger (60W). I bought a replacement battery and it appeared to charge up ok. The computer started to shut down randomly both while running on the battery and charging.

Is the problem likely to be related to the DC in board or the logic board? Picture of charging port and end of charger cable below. I think that the problem lies with the computer as I tried another charger and it gave the same result, ie, light constantly green.
After using the computer for a while on the charger it shut down with a fully discharged battery. When I restarted it I did an SMC reset and the orange light came on. It has now charged to 71%. Lets focus on your MagSafe charger first.

Review this great Apple T/N You do need to be using the correct MagSafe charger for your system review that section then move on to the making sure the MagSafe cable and connector are in good shape. Often times the connectors pins don't make good contact to the pads on the system either they are damaged or the MagSafe connector in the system is dirty or bad. Let us know what happens once you get the correct charger and clean the connections.
