Issue With Word For Mac
I recently upgraded from Word for Mac 2011 to Office 365/Word for Mac 2016. A couple of weeks later, I started having problems with an 11MB document that I'm working on. It includes text, diagrams, charts, and formatting (such as heading levels for the 5-page Table of Contents). Using Word for Mac and it's fine except when I email a document as an attachment, the formatting is jumbled. I've got the latest updates for Word, using gmail to send mail. Sep 25, 2008 Came across a strange compatiability issue with Word on Mac and PC. If I make a document on a Mac and have pictures obtained by dragging from Safari into the document, I can't view these pics on a Windows machine. How to do footnotes in word for mac.
Issue With Word For Mac
I bought Office 16 with the assumption that it would work. Every time it is opened, it will last for about a minute and then crash. I have tried every fix that the internet has to offer so far, and nothing seems to work. After spending hours scouring forums I decided to post the same problem that everyone else had been posting myself, and didn't get any better luck than the other hundreds (or more) people that are experiencing the same problem that I am. Now because the people at the 'Office 365 community' have given up on me and can't find any solution that helps in the slightest, they have directed me here.
They told me to copy and paste the detail log of my error message but it makes this message too long, so whoever feels like they might be able to helps, I can email it or do something else with it. If there is no solution I would like to get my money back because I spent it on a product that doesn't work. I also have this issue. I've done everything: safe mode reboot, repair permissions, verify/repair fonts (all were OK, by the way), reset Keychain, deleted Normal.dotm, removed all templates, removed all add-ins, removed all macros, uninstalled fully/reinstalled Office. I use primarily Word 2016 for Mac and not the other apps in the Office suite, but Word 2016 for Mac is unusable--it crashes after ca. 1 minute after launching no matter the context, no matter the activity.
Please consider upgrading to a more recent version of Internet Explorer, or trying another browser such as Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome. 
Jive will not function with this version of Internet Explorer.
I have been using Word 2016 for Mac since it was in beta, and it's never had this level of instability. Right now, it's essentially an unusable product. This problem also seems to be widespread judging by similar posts in various Microsoft forums.

(A couple of days ago, Word was also not signing in properly to Office 365, although I am no longer seeing that problem--not sure if it could be related or not.) The problem has been around for ca. It would be great to get the developer onto an assessment of the cause(s) and get a fix out, because the product is not usable as it is.
